Do you know a teacher at your child's school who is an animal lover? Therapy animal groups are often associated with humane education programs and are often looking for ways to approach children with their message. Give your local therapy animal group's information to the teacher or better yet, research what humane education programs they offer and encourage the teacher call directly to schedule a presentation or field trip.
